Duo is a 2FA service for applications, and your PC. When adding the Duo for when you logon to your computer there are several options. You can just use it for RDP logins or for all logins. You can also choose to bypass if internet is not available. No bypass is more secure, but requiring internet to login can be problematic, for example on a cruise ship where you have to login to setup the wifi. Catch 22. In that case you will have to disable Duo as noted next.
How to disable Duo
Log in to safe mode to bypass Duo login, open a CMD window and run the following code.
regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Duo Security\WindowsLogon\DuoCredProv.dll" regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\Duo Security\WindowsLogon\DuoCredFilter.dll"
When using choco, cannot find app, probably need to use additional settings. Instead use, exe installer
